How to make a word search
Type or paste up to 30 words (one per line or separated by commas). Choose a grid size – 8×8 for young kids, 15×15 or larger for older kids. Pick the directions: across and down is easiest, diagonal is medium and backwards words make it hard. Then print.
Tips for great word searches
Use 8-12 words for ages 5-7 and up to 20-30 words for older kids. Words longer than the grid are skipped, so use a bigger grid for long words. Lowercase letters are great for early readers who are still learning capitals.
