How to Use These Easter Mazes

  1. Start with the easy 7×7 maze and work up to the 17×17 challenge.
  2. Trace the path with a finger first, then with a pencil.
  3. Mark dead ends with a small x so you do not repeat them.
  4. Color the Easter pictures when you reach the finish.

Learning Benefits

Mazes teach planning, problem solving and pencil control. Kids learn to look ahead, test a path and back up when it is a dead end, which is a gentle introduction to persistence. Graded difficulty means siblings of different ages can each have a puzzle that fits.

Age Range

Ages 4-10. The set goes from a 7×7 beginner maze to a 17×17 challenge maze.

Variations and Extension Ideas

  • Time each maze and try to beat your record.
  • Put the mazes in Easter baskets alongside crayons.
  • Use the hard maze as an early-finisher challenge in class.
  • Make unlimited mazes with our free Maze Generator on the Tools page.

Printing Tips

  • Print at "Fit to page" on US Letter or A4.
  • Use a pencil first, then go over the correct path or answers in marker.
  • Laminate the pages for a reusable travel or center activity.
  • Print the hard maze at 100% – shrinking it makes the paths very narrow.
