How to Use These Easter Color By Number
- Read the color key together and point to each color.
- Color one number at a time across the whole grid (all the 1s, then all the 2s).
- Leave unnumbered squares white.
- Guess the picture halfway through before finishing.
Learning Benefits
Color by number blends number recognition with fine motor control. Children match a numeral to a color, then fill a small square neatly, which strengthens the same hand muscles used for writing. The mystery picture keeps them motivated to finish.
Age Range
Ages 4-8. Numbers 1-9 only, with a color key at the bottom of every page.
Variations and Extension Ideas
- Use the pages as an Easter party table activity.
- For younger kids, pre-color one square of each number as an example.
- Hang finished pictures together to make a pixel-art Easter gallery.
- Challenge older kids to design their own mini color-by-number on graph paper.
Printing Tips
- Print at "Fit to page" on US Letter or A4.
- Use a pencil first, then go over the correct path or answers in marker.
- Laminate the pages for a reusable travel or center activity.
- Colored pencils give the neatest squares; chunky crayons are fine for little hands.
